Interface Tour

The four regions of the RaisDB workspace — sidebar, editor, results, AI panel.

Left rail — everything connection-related.

Connection list

Connections, groups, and tags. Right-click for actions (edit, duplicate, delete, export).

Top of sidebar. Fuzzy match by connection name.

Command palette

Cmd/Ctrl + K / Cmd/Ctrl + P opens it — search across connections, queries, and global actions. See Keyboard Shortcuts.

Editor area

Center — where work happens.

SQL tabs

Multi-tab SQL editor. New tab with Cmd/Ctrl + Q. See Query Console.

Visual designers

Table / index / foreign key / ER diagram designers. See Visual Schema Designer.

Settings panels

Opened from the menu; replace the editor area while active.

Results

Below (or beside) the active editor.

Data grid

Tabular results, inline-editable when the connection isn't read-only. See Browse Data and Edit Data.

Plans / messages

EXPLAIN plans, safety reports, and SQL import results render here.

AI panel

Right rail — chat assistant.

Open / close

Cmd/Ctrl + I toggles.

Per-connection conversations

AI chats are tied to the current connection. History lives in the sidebar — pick a thread to resume.

Status bar

Bottom strip — version indicator, active context, sync state.
